Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long does semi permanent make up last?
A: Semi permanent make up lasts anywhere between 1-3 years, maybe longer. It really depend where you go and what type of machine and pigment they use. And how well your skin takes the pigment. No two people are the same.

Q: Does Semi Permanent Makeup Fade completely?
A: semi permanent make up does fade but lasts at least 1-3 years and then you come and have it retouched. All semi-permanent make up will eventually require a retouch, some will need to be applied after 18 months, some will need to be applied 2-3 years after the first application. It all depends on your skin type and how well you managed your semi permanent makeup.

Q: How long does it take to heal?
A: DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area or your color may heal unevenly and you risk scarring and infection. No makeup is to be applied for 72 hours (three days) after the procedure on the tattoo area. After any eyeliner procedure, use new mascara for the first 10 days after the 3 days of no makeup. Refer to your after care hand out for additional instructions. Very important!

Q: Will it hurt?
A: We use topical anesthetics so that you'll be comfortable during the procedure.

Q: Is Semi Permanent Makeup safe during pregnancy or nursing.
A: Makeup tattoos are no different from traditional tattoos and pose the same risks of infection. Pregnant women should steer clear of the tattooing process during pregnancy in order to eliminate the risk of HIV or Hepatitis B infection.

Q: How is shape and color chosen?
A: During our consultation we will discuss your shape and color. We will also go over it prior to having your procedure. We will do your brows together. But, remember your brows are sisters not twins.

Q: Am I able to return to work after my procedure?
A: Yes, you are able to return right back to work. The most important time for the healing process is the first 7 days. We will go over that in your after care procedures. If there is any swelling or discomfort you may apply ice and take Tylenol if needed. The total healing process for semi permanent make up is 5 weeks.

Q: After my semi permanent makeup procedure is done, when do I come for a retouch?
A: We recommend that you follow up with us before your 1 year anniversary of your new brows, we don't want it to fade out completely or it will be considered starting all over again. Retouches, at the one year mark is $100 given it didn't fade out.

Q: Can I do microblading after I get my Powder Ombre' brows?
A: Yes, you can do microblading over your Powder Ombre' brows. Our technique does not cause scar tissue.

Q: I had prior microblading done, can I still do Powder Ombre' technique?
A: Yes, but keep in mind everyone heals differently from microblading. If you have alot of scar tissue from the microblading it makes it very difficult to get the pigment through the scar tissue in to the dermal layer of your skin, as our equipment is made to only go 2 milimeters into the skin. Results may vary depending on scarring and type of skin you have.

Q: What do I do about the hair that grows around my brows after my procedure?
A: We recommend to keep your brows maintained so brows have that fresh look. We offer brow threading and recommend to upkeep every 2-4 weeks at a time.

Q: Am I able to apply other ointments or lotions other than what was provided to me at my procedure?
A: No, we don't recommend you to put anything on your procedure area except what was provided to you. Anything you apply on your brows will push pigment out. For great results please follow the after care provided to you.

Q: How long will it take for my brows to start flaking and scabbing?
A: Everyone's skin is different and heals differently. On the normal, the brows will start to harden and start cracking within 3-5 days. The whole flaking process may last up to 7-10 days but then again everyone's skin is different and the healing process varies on skin type.

Q: After my first procedure do I have to come back for my second application?
A: Yes! We highly recommend you to return in 4-6 weeks for your second application on any procedure so that we can make any adjustments needed, check the color, and add more pigment if needed. With just one application your procedure is NOT complete.

Q: Is your ink that you use Tattoo Ink?
A: No, our pigments are organic. They're made of rocks, stones, glycerin, & water. Our pigments will NOT turn blue, purple, orange, or green and it is not a forever tattoo. With this type of pigments you can let it fade out over time, you may change the color and adjust brows if needed. With tattoo ink, that's for life, no changes can be made. When our faces tend to change, your brows will go down with it. (Think about it)??

Q: What happens if I get an infection to my semi permanent procedure?
A: If you get an infection we recommend you to inform us so we can discuss proper steps to take. Most times, if you get an infection you will have to come back for another application. Applicable fee's may apply.

Q: Can I go shopping after my procedure?
A: We don't recommend it. But, keep in mind if you do have any plans we recommend you to take care of your appointments and errands before your procedure. Your brows is considered an open wound once you're done with your procedure and we highly recommend you to stay indoors for the first 24 hours to prevent any infection. The first three days is very crucial to keeping it clean so you don't get an infection.
