Pretty In Ink
After Care Instructions
Proper care IS VERY IMPORTANT so following your aftercare instructions is highly recommended to achieve optimum results. If the aftercare instructions are not followed correctly, an unpredictable amount of color may be lost or and infection could be at risk to your procedure. Please follow the directions below as specified by your technician.

Powder Ombre Brows:
Swelling, redness, darkness of brows and unevenness is normal. It is very important to keep the procedure area clean from dirt, lymphs, and overuse of ointment. Swelling and redness can last up to 72 hours, this is normal. At the time of your appointment the following will be offered to purchase for better healed results:
* 3 Adhesive Visors for $10.00
* After Ink soap $6.00
* After Ink Spritzer $3.50
During the healing process please follow instructions.
1. Gel pack brow area as needed to help with pain, swelling and redness.
2. Be sure to wash/rinse brows every morning and as needed immediately after your procedure. Only use the products that had been given and or purchased through Pretty In Ink.
3. Depending on your skin type you will start to notice the top layer of your brows to flake and scab off, this could take up to 5-14 days "TRUST THE HEALING PROCESS" THIS IS NORMAL and part of the PROCESS! DO NOT pick/peel the scabs, it will cause the brows to fade and cause scarring. Rinse / wash as needed and apply ointment if it was provided to you at the time of your appointment to help with this process. Dry healing is best especially for oily skin.
4. Once all flaked off you may notice the top layer of your skin may seem very faded, to a pinkish color, hold on your almost there! On the 3rd to 4th week the color from underneath the dermis layer will start to come through. You may add brow makeup at this point but please remember to remove makeup with water wipes, water and face cloth or the after ink foam soap. Remember any other products you use on procedure will fade your brows.

IMPORTANT:
Maintaining your powder ombre brows with your yearly touch ups will prolong your brows life expectancy. Some people might notice that their brows fade faster than others, that is perfectly normal! The speed of fading depends on your skin type, life-style and how well you care for them. KEEP IN MIND fading is inevitable.. If it starts to fade too soon, either some conditions you might have speeds up the process of fading. Inform your artist of any conditions you may have. Preparing for your procedure is just as important, please always follow the pre care instructions. Powder Ombre Brows aftercare are really not that hard to obey. Follow them religiously and expect great results! "We strive for progress NOT perfection"
*IMPORTANT*
You cannot compare your healing process or results with others, keep in mind everyone has or has not a condition, skin types vary, lifestyle and how you care for them all plays a factor on the healed results. Also if you do not follow the pre-care instructions such as
* No Coffee, Soda, Tea, Tumeric, Alcohol, Vitamins, Pre-work out drinks, Blood thinning medications, Menstrual 2 days prior to appointment, Moisturizers on the brow area (1 weeks prior to appointment) this is very important to follow for great results.
** If you have had prior work done by another artist, keep in mind this is just a cover up with minor adjustments to the procedure. IF prior work was done with Tattoo Ink you will most likely need multiple retouches to keep the tattoo ink covered. We use organic pigments so this over time will fade, it's meant to fade and again it all depends on skin, lifestyle and how well you care for the procedure.

Lip Blush :
1. Swelling, redness, unevenness is normal. Ice as needed. This healing process can take up to 4-7 days. At the time of your appointment you will be provided with an afterink ointment to keep on lips throughout the healing process, always keeping your lips moist. never leave them to dry out. You may also experience chap lips even after the healing process is over. I do recommend applying a lip balm as needed for the dryness.
DAY 1. Lips will be swollen and sensitive up to 72 hours, ice as needed. The lip color will
appear very bright, keep in mind that this procedure will only give you a lip tint color. This is not true to color as this is not tattoo ink, this is organic pigments. Our pigments will NOT change color over time. Your lips will produce lymphatic fluids that will need to be wiped down with a water wipes, or moistened face cloth.

DAY 2. Swelling will subside and color will appear darker, continue to apply lip ointment that was provided to you at the time of your appointment. You are able to get them wet in the shower but please
DO NOT submerge them or get any soap, shampoo or conditioner on the lip area.
DAY 3-4. Lips will become very dry and start to flake off just like in a chap lip form of healing. Keeping them moisturized for the duration of the healing process is so very important.
DAY 5-7. The old skin flakes away and your new lip color is revealed and begins to settle in. Once healed lip color will appear about 40-50% lighter and more natural that what you see on days 1 & 2.
"TRUST THE HEALING PROCESS"
**IMPORTANT**
Avoid any type of lipstick or lip gloss during this healing process and until completely healed.
Avoid large stretching of the mouth this may cause lips to crack.
Do not eat too hot or too cold foods, drink with a straw, no spicy foods, and citrus as the lips will be more sensitive until fully healed.
If you are prone to blisters, cold sores or Herpes simplex 1 please follow up with your physician prior to your initial procedure this should have been mentioned to your artist and on the consent/ medical history forms. clients with blisters or cold sores can take Valtrex 3 days prior to procedure. Clients with Herpes Simplex 1 this procedure is not recommended for you. Remember prior to your appointment you are to refrain from : Vitamin C serums, retinoids 2 weeks prior to your appointment. Same goes for facial waxing, laser treatments, botox or chemical peels. Clients who have lip filler injections should have this done 6 weeks prior to procedure.
How to prepare for your Lip Blush procedure:
** Exfoliating your lips the day before and using a lip balm or moisturizer to help keep surface smooth and fresh for the day of your appointment.**
